Criminal Justice AS Assessment

Mission and Program Learning Outcomes

The mission of the Criminal Justice A.S. degree is to provide students with a challenging course of study in criminal justice and the liberal arts and sciences that is consistent with the academic expectations of four-year colleges and universities. The curriculum has sufficient flexibility to allow students to elect coursework that will satisfy their individual needs and expose them to the various career opportunities related to law enforcement. The faculty, cognizant of the demographics of the United States, is committed to enabling students to understand and appreciate diversity, especially as it relates to the functioning of the criminal justice system. Likewise, the faculty emphasizes the significance of ethical behavior and the appropriate use of discretion and judgment throughout the curricula.
