Mission and Program Learning Outcomes

The mission of the Liberal Arts and Sciences - Adolescence Education A.A. degree program is to provide students with quality learning experiences and a strong liberal arts background that will enhance their transferability to a Bachelor’s degree program in Education (B.A. or B.S.). The curriculum for each of the degree program options (Biology, English, History, or Mathematics) provides an understanding of the foundations of an educational system using historical and philosophical views. In addition, the program’s mission fosters lifelong learning and professional growth and development.
