The College's Michael J Grant Campus in Brentwood has been selected as the venue for a speech by President Donald Trump on the subject of MS-13 gang violence, this coming Friday, July 28th. The speech will take place in the VanNostrand Theatre and is scheduled for Friday afternoon. Please note that the audience is restricted to invited members of law enforcement and the media, with all invitations being handled by the White House. Mission and Program Learning Outcomes

The mission of the Liberal Arts and Sciences Humanities Emphasis A.A. program is to provide students who begin their studies at Suffolk County Community College with a rigorous academic experience designed to facilitate and expedite the attainment of a baccalaureate degree in their chosen field. To that end the faculty, administration, and support staff associated with the Humanities Emphasis are committed to maintaining a curriculum that balances a strong general education component with the opportunity to develop and practice skills in a variety of professional specialty areas including Cinema Studies, Creative Writing, English; Foreign Language and Philosophy. Likewise, the curricular and extracurricular degree program components are designed and implemented to encourage students to develop an appreciation for lifelong learning and service to their professions and communities.
