Mission and Program Learning Outcomes

The mission of the Liberal Arts and Sciences: Social Science Emphasis A.A. degree program is to prepare students in the major to transfer to Bachelor degree programs related to their field of interest within the Social Sciences. In addition, program faculty, staff and administrators are committed to providing all students with a broad foundation in the traditional Liberal Arts and Sciences. The degree program includes options in History, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology/Anthropology. The curriculum explores the depth of human behavior in its many aspects, including, economic, historical, political, abnormal and developmental.
