Music AS Assessment

Mission and Program Learning Outcomes

The mission of the Music A.S. degree program is to provide students with a strong foundation in music theory, aural skills, piano, history and performance that will enable them to successfully transfer to a four-year college, university or conservatory music program to pursue a career in music education, performance, composition and arranging, conducting, therapy, law, songwriting or audio recording. In addition, students are provided performance opportunities in which they can develop musicianship, poise and proper stage demeanor. Likewise, guest performances and co-curricular events are included in the program to provide a forum for college and community cultural enrichment.
