Mission and Program Learning Outcomes

The mission of the Radio and Television Production A.A.S. degree is to educate and train students to a proficiency level that will qualify them to successfully achieve their immediate or future career goals in the dynamic field of Broadcasting.  Through a rigorous and increasingly demanding academic curriculum, students will be exposed to contemporary theories, practices and technology to prepare them to perform effectively as practitioners in a variety of professional, industrial and commercial settings. Moreover, it is the goal of this academic program to encourage independent and critical thinking and foster an appreciation for continuing education and lifelong learning.
