American Sign Language Studies Sequence AAS Assessment

Mission and Program Learning Outcomes

The mission of the American Sign Language A.A.S. degree program American Sign Language Studies sequence is to prepare students to work as para-professionals in schools and social service agencies that serve deaf, hard of hearing and deaf-blind children and adults. Through excellent curriculum design and instruction, program faculty, staff and administrators promote the discovery of American Sign Language and Deaf Culture to prompt lifelong, professional involvement in the Deaf Community.
