Origins, development and impact of major religions of the contemporary world: Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, Shinto, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Main beliefs and practices of these religions are analyzed in relation to the social, economic, political and cultural background of each population.
