Student housing is not provided by SCCC. Students are required to make their own living arrangement prior to arrival. It is advisable to arrange housing with the advice of your sponsor. If you are intending to rent a room or an apartment, please be aware that a rental may range from $750 to 1,750 per month depending on the number of rooms.
On Long Island there are four seasons, winter, spring, summer, and fall. Snow is expected in the winter months, rain may occur frequently. During the winter months, warm clothing is essential.
Most students fly into John F. Kennedy International Airport; this is the closest international airport to SCCC. Taxi and car services are available from the airport at the Transportation Desk. Since this is expensive, it is advisable to have your sponsor, or a friend, or relative make arrangements to pick you up upon your arrival. SCCC does not offer a transportation service. See Directions
