Tuition Assistance Program for Children of Suffolk's Fallen First Responders

Tuition Assistance Program for Children of Suffolk's Fallen First Responders, established by the Suffolk County Legislature, is awarded to full-time and part-time students: full tuition
Criteria:

Document being first generation issue of Suffolk County volunteer firefighter, emergency medical technician, or Suffolk County town or village police officer killed in the line of duty.

Be accepted and enrolled at Suffolk County Community College.

Tuition assistance is renewable providing the student remains in good academic standing according to the College's academic policies.

Tuition Assistance Program for Children and Spouses of Fallen Soldiers

Tuition Assistance Program for Children and Spouses of Fallen Soldiers , established by the Suffolk County Legislature, is awarded to full-time and part-time students: full tuition
Criteria:

Document being a child or spouse of a member of the armed forces killed in a combat zone while in actual service of the Federal government, and whose home of record at the time of death was in Suffolk County.

Be accepted and enrolled at Suffolk County Community College. 

Tuition assistance is renewable providing the student remains in good academic standing according to the College's academic policies.

Suffolk Educational Program for Retention in the Voluntary Emergency Services (SERVES)

SERVES provides student/volunteers full scholarship funding to all those members in "Good Standing" in the Suffolk County Volunteer Fire or Emergency Medical Service and have not attained an Associates Degree (or 80 lifetime equivalent earned college credits) who commit to a length of service (based upon a sliding scale of credits earned) within their volunteer agency.

SERVES has an annual application deadline of May 1^st for entry into the program starting in the upcoming fall semester at Suffolk County Community College (SCCC).

SERVES will only pay tuition costs after any other potential grant/scholarship funding is awarded.

All student/volunteers MUST be registered at SCCC no later than May 1^st and complete a standard Free Application for Federal Student Aid Form (FAFSA) to document gross tuition expense less any federal (i.e., Pell) or state (i.e., TAP) grant awards.

SERVES will award funds for full-time or part-time matriculated student/volunteers for spring and fall semesters only.

All student/volunteers are required to sign and submit a SCCC Student Tuition Deferral to the Campus Cashier’s Office by the tuition payment due date prior to every semester.
