Vice President's Message

Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs

Welcome to the Office of Academic and Student Affairs at Suffolk County Community College!

As a learning community committed to encouraging students to come to a full understanding of themselves, their society and the world, and the lifelong nature of learning, Suffolk County Community College offers more than 70 academic degree programs and 30 certificate programs to match your goals and interests.  You can pursue an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or an Associate in Science (A.S.) degree to transfer to a four-year college or university, or you can pursue a certificate or Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree designed to give you the tools to move directly into the workforce. Whatever your goal, Suffolk County Community College is committed to your success.

Building upon a rich tradition of teaching excellence and high academic standards, our diverse and talented faculty and staff are devoted to fostering creative and critical thinking skills across disciplines.

Although we are the largest community college in the State University of New York (SUNY) system, we offer small classes where students get to know their professors and classmates. With a wide array of services and resources, we are prepared to give you the academic support you need.

I encourage you to review our programs and services and I am confident that you will be able to realize your potential at Suffolk County Community College!
