STUDENT TECHNOLOGY
Orientation Plan

This is the College Computer Council's universal access student technology orientation plan. The plan addresses the Basic Student Computing Competencies defined by the CCC Academic Computing Subcommittee in their February 26, 1999 minutes.

This orientation will take place by students completing OS15 and OS20 or the continuing education course XH06 - Academic Computing Essentials for SCCC Students, which will be offered in the Academic Computing Centers at the three campuses. This two-hour course should be free to students and all expenses supported through the use of the student's technology fee. It is recommended that $10 student technology fee be charged to support the expenses associated with this universal access student training plan.

Furthermore, it is recommended that taking this class can be part of an extended student orientation program, as well as being a class component for students enrolled in College Freshman Seminar. Additionally, it will be promoted in the Academic Computing Centers.
