The College Computer Council and the College Professional Development Committee has accepted an instructional technology faculty development plan, entitled SuffolkStar. This professional development program combines collaboration among faculty, student learning-styles exploration, and faculty technology training promoting learner-centered environments at Suffolk County Community College (SCCC).

You are encouraged to attend the SuffolkStar orientation program to be held early in the fall 1999 semester sponsored through your Campus Teaching Learning Centers (TLCs) in collaboration with Continuing Education. Watch for the TLCs and Continuing Education's announcements regarding the SuffolkStar training sessions throughout 1999-2000 academic year.

Through your participation in SuffolkStar, faculty can customize their training program to meet individual professional goals. In addition, participants will be eligible to receive a $200 software award for use during the training and accumulate undergraduate credits that can be used towards promotion.
