Telecourse Training — Two-Day Workshop Agenda

Suffolk County Community College's DEC is pleased to conduct this two-day hands-on training workshop on telecourse education and online telecourse approaches.The agenda reflects the training staff's general plans for the workshop. Your needs and preferences during the workshop will determine the specific topics presented and discussed, the emphasis of activities, and the schedule.

Prior to the workshop faculty are asked to view a Public Broadcasting video entitled "Telecourse Plus". The video is intended to give a brief overview of telecourse distance education techniques. Moreover, prior to the workshop faculty are asked to review at least one preview telecourse tape and associated textbook.

The workshop will be scheduled twice a year - intersession and summer session, hence, allowing the faculty member to develop the courses during the spring and fall semesters.
