Charge
The College Computing Council shall assess the use of current computer and telecommunications technology and recommend strategies for its effective use at the college. The council will:
a) collaborate with each campus technology committee to assess campus needs and provide the campuses with college-wide direction;
b) periodically review the state of the college with respect to technology, assessing staffing, equipment, utilization, and training, and provide recommendations to the Strategic Planning Council;
c) collect recommendations for college-wide technology projects and policies, and recommend priorities for the college’s strategic plan for technology;
d) recommend and oversee adopted college-wide computer, data and telecommunications policies, including policies for purchasing, access, and utilization;
e) oversee the implementation of college-wide data and communications projects as defined in the college’s technology plan, and;
f) collaborate with the Office of Computer and Information Systems on technology development.
The College Computing Council consists of:
Faculty member for each campus are to include: the chair of the Campus Computing Council or his/her designee; a representative from Academic Computing; and an appointee by the campus governance body.
The council’s proceedings are open to the college community.
