Welcome to the SCCLIST information page. SCCLIST is the Suffolk Community College Listserv and is open to SCCC faculty and staff. To subscribe:
  1. Send a message to majordomo@sunysuffolk.edu.


  2. Leave the subject line blank.


  3. In the body of the message type subscribe scclist your name.
The list is un-moderated, and any topic which is relevant to life at Suffolk Community College is open for discussion. We only ask that you follow the college listserv protocols which are found at: http://www3.sunysuffolk.edu/Administration/IT/Help/policies/listserv%20protocol.doc

HOW TO SEND MESSAGES TO THE LIST

The most confusing things about listservs is that there two different addresses. The "listserv" address (majordomo@sunysuffolk.edu) handles the administrative functions of the list. The "list" address (scclist@sunysuffolk.edu) is the address you use to post messages to the list.

To post a message on the SCCLIST, send an email message to scclist@sunysuffolk.edu. Unlike many other lists, you will see a copy of your message on the list. Messages will usually be posted that day, but there are may be unforeseen circumstances where it might take a couple of days. If your message is not posted within a couple of days, resend it.

LISTSERV COMMANDS

The following commands are currently available on SCCLIST:
To use these commands:
  1. Send an email to majordomo@sunysuffolk.edu, NOT scclist@sunysuffolk.edu.

  2. Leave the Subject line blank.

  3. Type the command in the body of the message. Use the following format:

      SUBSCRIBE SCCLIST
      UNSUBSCRIBE SCCLIST
      WHO SCCLIST
      WHICH SCCLIST
      LIST
      HELP
