The Society of Writers is a student club, meeting every Wednesday evening from 5-6:30 PM in Islip Arts 202 to discuss original works of fiction, non-fiction, drama and poetry created by the students, faculty and staff of Suffolk County Community College. Founded by Professor Maria Kranidas, Taleisan is hosted by the English Department at SCCC Ammerman Campus.
