Nursing/ Associate in Science Degree Admissions Scoring Rubric for Continuing Students

Admissions consideration is based on a rubric used to evaluate student performance. Students receive points in the following categories:

Academic Preparedness Category
Exemplary - 25
Advanced - 20
Proficient - 0

Max 25 Points for Academic Preparedness Category
For each sub-scale adjusted individual score (TEAS Reading, TEAS Mathematics, TEAS Science, TEAS English and Language Usage)
50-59% - 1
60-69% - 7
70-79% - 8
80-89% - 10
90-99% - 12

Max 48 Points for sub-scale Adjusted Individual Scores
Only one set of TEAS test scores are used in calculating total rubric points.
If the TEAS test is taken twice in one academic year, the second attempt results will be used for the scoring rubric. An addition of 2 points can be earned if only the first attempt is used for admission consideration, for a maximum of 75 points.
