St. Lucia
Experience the beauty and natural wonders of the Caribbean while learning about the different cultures that influenced modern St. Lucian life. Explore the ecosystems of the most mountainous of the Caribbean Islands. Learn how to conduct anthropological fieldwork while immersed in the local community. Classes will be held on the Campus of Monroe College. Students will live in a villa overlooking beautiful Rodney Bay with sea views and within a five minute walk to all amenities.

3 Credits Mandatory

ANT 211 - Caribbean Cultures
Interdisciplinary study of historical and contemporary elements of diverse cultures in the Caribbean. Topics include history, economics, social institutions, cultural patterns and the arts. May be taken for social science or humanities credit. No prerequisite. NOTE: Fulfills SUNY General Education Requirement for Other World Civilizations.

The program costs approximately $2,250 US and includes accommodations, daily breakfast, entrance fees to all excursions and guest lectures. Additionally, participants will be responsible for tuition, airfare and daily public transport. Please note if your check is returned for any reason, you will be charged an additional $35 fee.
