There were more than 2,000 land engagements that took place during the Civil War. I wouldn't have the time or space to write about each one, but I would like to share with you two Civil War battlefields that I have visited, Gettysburg and Antietam.
What makes the Civil War so intriguing is that brother was pitted against brother and our country was torn apart. Besides explaining what transpired during the actual battles, I also want to write about the people; what they were feeling and what horrors they endured.
