As a teacher, I do not aim to simply teach students how to do mathematics. I aim to teach them to find their own enjoyment in the subject by not only sharing my experiences with them, but by helping them find their own.


Celia Santorello joined the adjunct faculty in the fall of 2008. In addition to teaching at Suffolk County Community College she has been teaching secondary mathematics in the Comsewogue School District since September 2006.  Celia holds a B.S. in Mathematics Education from SUNY Fredonia and a M.S. in Applied Mathematics from Long Island University’s C.W. Post Campus. She is a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the New York State Association of Mathematics Teachers.
