Henry Thode is an adjunct Associate Professor with a doctorate degree in Statistics from Stony Brook University.  He has been teaching in the Department of Mathematics at Suffolk Community College since 2002 and has also taught at Stony Brook, Farmingdale, and Old Westbury.

His primary occupation is medical research, which began at Brookhaven National Laboratory in 1978.  He is currently an Associate Professor and the Associate Director of Research for the Department of Emergency Medicine at Stony Brook University, where he has worked for over 25 years.  He has also consulted with other organizations such as the Department of Veteran’s Affairs and the American Heart Association.

He has coauthored over 150 peer-reviewed articles in medical journals and written the statistics text “Testing for Normality”.
