MD Track

Step 1:Associate Degree

SUNY Suffolk

The first step in the Medical Doctorate (MD) track is to earn one of the following associate degrees at Suffolk:

Liberal Arts and Sciences:
Science - Biology A.S.
OR Liberal Arts and Sciences:
Science - Chemistry A.S.
OR Liberal Arts and Sciences:
General Studies A.A.


Step 2:Bachelor's Degree

After earning a qualified associate degree at Suffolk, students may transfer to one of the following institutions for an additional two years to complete a bachelor's degree.

Brooklyn College
College of Staten Island
Hunter College
Mercy University NY
Molloy University
St. Francis College
St. John's University
SUNY Old Westbury

Students must complete the bachelor's program with a 3.4 GPA or higher.


Step 3:Doctor of Medicine

Once the bachelor's degree has been completed, students may transfer to St. George's University in Grenada to enter the four-year Doctor of Medicine program.

St. George's University is the largest provider of doctors into first-year US residencies for the past nine years. It is also the largest source of actively licensed physicians in the entire US workforce.
