Through contributions received from businesses and individuals, Suffolk County Community College and the Suffolk Community College Foundation are leading an effort to provide emergency relief funds for College faculty and staff who were impacted by Hurricane Sandy and the recent nor’easter and, as a result, now need help:

  • replacing computers or other electronic equipment
  • purchasing clothing and food, and
  • covering costs associated with commuting or other necessities

The Suffolk Community College Foundation Relief Fund can assist members of the college community with cash grants of up to $500 to offset extraordinary commuting or living expenses, or to replace computers or other electronic equipment.

If you are a faculty or staff member who would like to apply for this kind of financial assistance, please download and complete the application below. Please bring the completed application to the Foundation Office located in the Cottage on the Ammerman Campus in Selden.  Applications will be reviewed by a small committee and grants will be awarded as long as funds remain available for disbursement.
