Academic Advising Mentoring Center

The center provides the resources and opportunities for students and faculty to understand, initiate, and sustain mutually beneficial academic advising and mentoring relationships.

Do you need help planning your semester schedule? Do you have questions about Degree Works? Would you like to connect with a professor in a major that interests you? The Academic Advising and Mentoring Center can help!

The Academic Advising and Mentoring Center (AAMC) helps bring together Suffolk County Community College students seeking academic advising and teaching faculty, who can provide necessary mentorship. The AAMC faculty work to connect students with disciplines based on their interests.

Additionally, the AAMC faculty are available at each center to help students understand Degree Works and to select classes that will fulfill their degree requirements. AAMC faculty can also help students navigate the MySCCC portal to search for classes and register online.
