Coach Foley Honored for 400th Career Win by College Board of Trustees

Suffolk County Community College Women’s Basketball Head Coach and Athletic Director Kevin Foley, center, was honored by the College's Board of Trustees on February 19 for his milestone 400th career win leading the Sharks.

Foley, of Blue point, is completing his 23rd year at the helm of Suffolk’s Women’s team that has advanced to the playoffs in 20 consecutive years. Foley's impressive record includes playing in 14 semi-finals, winning six regional championships, and a national title.

Foley announced that he will step down as head coach of the women's basketball team after this season, and continue as athletic director.

Foley was inducted into the Suffolk County Sports Hall of Fame in 1994 in honor of his outstanding basketball career.
