Suffolk Marketing and Communications Recognized as Tops

Suffolk County Community College was recently recognized for its marketing and communications by the Educational Advertising Awards with eight awards and the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations with two 2015 Silver Paragon Awards.

“We are proud to be recognized again for our marketing and communications efforts,” said Andrew Fawcett, associate dean for institutional advancement. “Our approach is to simply create engaging stories and materials that reflect the many ways that Suffolk brings value to our students and communities.”

The 31st Annual Educational Advertising Awards is the largest educational advertising awards competition in the country. This year, over 2,000 entries were received from more than 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary schools nationally and several foreign countries.

The two 2015 Silver Paragon Awards from the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations were for Feature Writing (Sparking a Need for Certified Welders) and Special Event Promotion (launch of Suffolk’s first-ever mascot). Awards were presented in 53 categories from more than 235 colleges that submitted a total of 1,773 entries to the contest.
