The Suffolk Community College Foundation will hold its 40th Annual Golf Classic on Wednesday, June 5 at the Westhampton Country Club, 35 Potunk
Lane, Westhampton Beach, NY. The proceeds from the outing will benefit student scholarships
and academic support.
This year’s tournament honoree is Jeffrey Vacirca, MD, FACP, a renowned cancer physician
and visionary leader with extensive experience and commitment to community oncology.
He assumed the role of CEO and Chairman of the Board of New York Cancer & Blood Specialists
(NYCBS) in 2008 and has led the practice through an unparalleled period of transformation.
NYCBS now sees nearly a million patients a year through a network of more than 30
oncology locations and 35 hospital affiliations.
The golf day begins with registration at 11:00 a.m.; shotgun start with scramble format
(best ball) at 12:30 p.m.; cocktails, dinner and awards follow at 5:30 p.m. Corporate
