Copiague’s Gianna Clement Signs Letter of Intent to Attend Suffolk and Play Sharks Women’s Basketball

Copiague High School Women’s Basketball Point and Shooting Guard Gianna Clement has signed a letter of intent to attend Suffolk County Community College and play for the Sharks Women’s Basketball team.

Copiague High School Women’s Basketball Point and Shooting Guard Gianna Clement has signed a letter of intent to attend Suffolk County Community College and play for the Sharks Women’s Basketball team.

Clement, who intends to major in physical education in preparation for becoming a phyiscal education teacher said she was excited to attend Suffolk County Community College and join the women’s team.

“Suffolk was the first college to approach me and after visiting I felt it was a good fit,” Clement said.

“Our coaches have done a phenomenal job recruiting local talent that will help us not only on the court but in the classroom,” said College Associate Dean of Athletics and Special Events Neftali Collazo.  “Now, we have to do our job to insure we provide the support for success.  Congratulations to our coaches as we welcome Gianna Clement to Shark Nation!”

Clement signed the letter of intent at a signing ceremony attended by her parents and college athletics and adminsitration officals. Clement graduates from Copiague High School this June.
