Project Plastic Earth Day event
Project Plastic Earth Day event

Suffolk County Community College sustainability students launched their Project Plastics on Earth Day to a throng of students, faculty and administrators who came out for the Earth event.

The 20 students from Biology Department Professor Pamela Lynch’s Environment Sustainability class collected plastics for five months from across six locations on the Ammerman Campus in Selden.

The students reimagined the “garbage” as scientific works of art to raise awareness about the global environmental problems caused by plastics.
