Suffolk Hosts Events to Commemorate and Recognize Veterans in November

Suffolk County Community College will commemorate Veterans Day and honor all who served with a robust schedule of events beginning November 9.

“In honor of Veterans Day, I want to personally thank every Veteran student and employee for their service to our country. Since we can’t be together on campus, the College created a celebratory video to honor all those within our community who served, as well as those with family members who served,” said Suffolk County Community College Interim President Louis Petrizzo, who added that more than 70 students, faculty, staff and administrators submitted photos to share with the community as an expression of thanks.

Access the video from the College’s home page at www.sunysuffolk.edu or click this link.

“I am sure you are as proud of our Veterans service as I am,” Petrizzo said. The College’s calendar of events is a way to show our support for each and every Veteran at the College and in the community.”
