The Office of Legal Affairs strives to promote the mission of Suffolk County Community College by providing services related to all legal matters and specializing in laws affecting institutions of higher education.  

The Office of Legal Affairs is responsible for providing support and advice to the College's Board of Trustees, President, administration, faculty and staff on a broad range of issues having legal significance through counsel and representation, litigation and risk management, interpretation of and compliance with state and federal laws, formulating and issuing legal opinions and reviewing and/or drafting contracts and policies.

The Office of Legal Affairs does not provide legal services to employees or students in their personal capacities.
