Drawings cover one wall of this basement gallery space and mimic the exposed brick
and concrete wall. The layers of crumbling and exposed brick and concrete in the gallery
inspired the content of the pen and ink drawings. 3D paper vines, each individually
folded, cut, and painted by hand, are hung from the fabricated windows and onto the
gallery floor.

2015 - 2017
Retrofit is a life-sized installation of a domestic space made entirely of paper. A chandelier is made from folded sheet paper and hangs below a ceiling made of individual cast rice paper tiles. Drawn portraits with three-dimensional paper frames hang throughout the gallery. A hollow constructed sheet paper plant sits atop a similarly built shelf, with cast paper brackets. The wallpaper design is hand drawn with four interspersed windows displaying invented urban scenes, current and imagined.

The functioning telescoping chandelier is made from folded, ink-washed, sheet paper with a wire interior armature. Each section is crafted separately and interlocks onto the next with wire links. An LED bulb hangs from the center. Chandelier is roughly 18" x 10" x 10" wide.

Brick Fiction consists of two free standing wooden structures, 10 x 9 x 8’ tall and contain full-size doors and two windows. Both structures are covered in paper ink drawings, inside and out. Other three-dimensional objects made entirely from hand-drawn and folded sheet paper include a ceiling that resembles wooden planks, an electrical outlet with conduit, a fuse box with bolts and wire housing, and a panel base assembled fuse box with switches, a hinge, and paper door.
